#1 Country Album in Norway!!

I gotta be honest, we love Norway!!

We had the pleasure of touring in Norway last year, which was a blast and was a true highlight of the year. And we are very excited that we’ll be returning to Norway in October of 2017 to tour behind our new album, “Love and Protest”.

We got the news last week and wanted to be sure to share it with you that Love and Protest was ranked as the #1 Country Album of 2017 in Norway. How cool is that?

#1 Country Album

We even managed to find out way onto the Top 20 Albums Overall, landing at #5. We couldn’t be happier and truly can’t wait to return in 2017.

We’re in the process of booking our next European tour for Oct/Nov 2017, so be sure to stay tuned. We hope to release the full schedule of dates in the next few weeks.

Rolling Stone “Rock ‘n’ Roll” Video Premier!!

A huge thanks to Rolling Stone for premiering our new video for “Rock ‘n’ Roll”.

We worked with John Gannon to put this video together and the concept was as simple as could be: there is no concept. We wanted to capture the song in the place where it became a song. No frills, no effects, just the band rockin’ out in the basement.

Click below and take a look, and please be sure to share on social media. We really want the world to know our new album exists and a huge part of making that happen is your continued support. Thank you so much for getting behind the new album and we hope you dig the new video!!

A message from our Producer…

When it came time to put the pieces in place for our new record the first call I made was to Drew Townson. Not only did Drew mix and co-produce our Tribute to Hank Williams album, but he is one of Boston’s most skilled analog producers.

For years Drew and I had talked about how cool it would be to make an entirely analog GGG album. in 2014 we even went into Zippah Studios for one day to try it out and to see how the process would work. Thankfully that day went really well and when the time came for us to buckle down and get to work on a new album, we knew that analog was the way to go.

Drew has been an active player, writer, producer, engineer and mentor for a lot of people in the Boston music scene over the years. And not only has he been a longtime member of the GGG extended family, but if you want to make an analog album, he is the guy.

He wrote a great blog about how our record has been coming along and the analog recording process that I wanted to share it with you. Check it out HERE, it’s a very good read.

Project Funded!!

What a great way to start making a record. This is the first album that we have ever fan funded and the experience has been, in a word, inspiring.

To date we have received such an incredible outpouring of support behind this album: 301 individual pledges and we’re reached 113% of our goal. How awesome is that?

Making an analog album these days is an expensive undertaking. High quality 2″ tape costs $300 a reel because it’s become so scarce. But thanks to you we’ve been able to get all the tape we need, we’ve recorded 12 songs at Zippah Studios in Brighton, MA and now we are finishing mixing at Mad Oak in Allston.

This is the quickest turn around we’ve ever had with a project. And it’s been a blessing. We’ve had to lock in our decisions, no digital tricks, no auto-tune, this is a real and honest record. It’s caused me to look at the term “artist development” from a who different perspective. And we think you’re gonna love the final result.

Our PledgeMusic page will remain active for just one more day with full access to all the perks available. Then, as of Aug 24th, the page will switch over to a pre-order site for the new CD & Vinyl. If you’d still like to get on board and support this project take a look. Not only will you get the perks you pledge for, but you’ll also get access to exclusive content, downloads, pics and videos from the band. To support our new album click HERE.

New Album Fundraiser – The Finish Line is in Sight

Eight weeks into our New Album Fundraiser and we are on the brink of 80%. We have just two short weeks left, but I know we can reach this goal.

We have booked our Fall River, MA CD Release Show at The Narrows on Nov 11 and we have VIP Tickets available.

We have also booked our Boston, MA CD Release Show at The Sinclair on Jan 7 and there are still a couple VIP Tickets available for that as well.

Now here’s an extra special perk that we just confirmed yesterday and I know it’s gonna to go quickly, so don’t wait on this one. Aug 18th we’re playing the pre-game concert at Gillette Stadium for the Pats vs Bears pre-season game. When you pledge for this perk you’ll get two tickets for you and a friends to attend the game with the band (the seats are awesome!!), you’ll get to hang out backstage with the band before the show, food and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided, parking will be provided, we’ll tour the field before the game and then we’re gonna have us some serious fun. Take a look and snap this one up. Would make a great B-Day gift for the sports/music lover in your life.

Aug 18th, let's do it!!

Thank you for the continued support, get ready to rock ‘n’ roll. -Ward

Let’s set our sights on 75%!!!

We are just three short weeks away from the close of our PledgeMusic NEW Album Campaign.

We’ve reached 60% of our goal, but we still have a ways to go before we reach the funded needed to make this album.

We’ve set this weeks goal at 75% and I know we can do it.

We’ve added a Custom GGG Bass Drum Head, it’s one of a kind and there is only one available. We are also down to the just 1 “Song with Your Name”, 1 “Patriots Game with the Band”, 1 “Framed Fireworks & Alcohol Print” and just 2 Vinyl Test Pressings.

And if you’ve been thinking about pledging, but haven’t gotten around to it yet, there’s no better time than now. Pre-order our new CD or Vinyl for yourself (treat yourself!!) or as a gift for the music lover in your life.

And while you’re placing your order, enjoy this stripped down version of our new song “Wine Went Bad (But I’m Still Drinking)”.
